DRAGO
Drago Kljajic is an Ex-Professional Football Player who played for FK Vojvodina Novi Sad and FK Galenika-Zemun Belgrade, two first division teams located in Ex-Yugoslavia. In 1993 Drago left his home country of Serbia due to the Yugoslav war and migrated to Australia for a safer life along with continuing his football career. Whilst in Australia Drago played in the Premier League for teams such as White City FC, Blue Eagles FC, Para Hills FC and Port Pirie Savoy FC, successfully contributing to the achievement of numerous championships, double crowns and premierships with these teams.
In 2005 Drago ended his playing career in pursuit of becoming a football coach for juniors, distributing his knowledge and skills to the upcoming generations of Football players. Drago is a holder of the UEFA B Coaching License and with these qualifications coached numerous teams in Adelaide but also attained the role of Football Coaching Technical Director at clubs such as Adelaide University Women’s Soccer Club, White City FC and currently of West Adelaide Hellas FC.
Since, Drago has created and shaped many players who have gone on to play professionally in the A-League, W-League, Youth leagues, National Premier Leagues and Professional contracts overseas.
Along with this, Drago commenced a Football academy in 2010 named DK Football Academy, which has gain wide recognition around South Australia. In 2015 was appointed as the sole Australian Representative and Agency for FK Vojvodina, Serbia. Through this Drago has had the chance to manage upcoming/professional players on an international scale.
Drago’s inspiration throughout his coaching and playing years has been the great Johan Cruyff. His coaching philosophy has been one which Drago looks up to and one he still to this day follows.
Drago’s ambition is to pass on European Styled football knowledge to coaches, players and officials in the desire of improving football in South Australia.
